2023 Centennial Mission Trip: Project Mexico

THE HOLY TRINITY MISSIONS MINISTRY
RETURNS TO PROJECT MEXICO FOR A
CENTENNIAL MISSION TRIP
TO BUILD ITS EIGHTH HOME
FOR THE POOR AND HOMELESS OF MEXICO

Join the Holy Trinity Mission Team June 20-26, 2023!

Back for 2023!: Project Mexico is celebrating 35 years of building homes for needy families! Holy Trinity Church has sent seven mission teams during that period and built seven homes for needy families. This year, in celebration of our Holy Trinity Centennial, we’re heading back June 20-26!

What does a Project Mexico mission trip look like?

Our trips are one week long and include four days of construction. Each team builds a sturdy, weatherproof home for a family without adequate shelter. The week starts with laying a cement floor, and then continues with framing, chicken wire, roofing, and stucco. The week ends with a house blessing!

Where do volunteers stay?

Volunteers stay at St. Innocent Orphanage, an Orthodox Christian orphanage for teenage boys located in Rosarito, Mexico. Volunteers stay in homes exactly like those they build for the needy of the area.

Who can participate?

No experience is required and training is provided for all aspects of the work. A minimum age of 14 is recommended by Holy Trinity Church. We need parents and young adults, too! See registration form for more details.

What is the cost?

The total cost including estimated travel is $950 for Holy Trinity GOYAns and $1,350 for all others. This covers food, lodging, building materials, transportation to/from the airport and work site and airfare from Pittsburgh. Cost is subject to change based on group airfare at time of booking.

Are their fundraising opportunities?

Yes! A complete fund-raising package will be provided to those who submit their reservation form and deposit by March 1, 2023. It includes letters and brochures to send to friends and family.

How do I get involved?

Sign up using the pdf Project Mexico 2023 Registration Form (3.51 MB) and submitting your deposit by March 1. Full payment due March 30.
